Meet the Artist
behind Sail Away

About me
My name is Collin Sailor, and I'm an artist born in Denver, Colorado. My passion for the arts has run deep since my childhood. Like most kids, I would draw in my notebooks at school as a way to pass time in class. I got a Wacom drawing tablet in middle school and started doing digital portraits of rappers and animals. I made beats on my laptop and played music on the piano and guitar. I took as many art classes throughout high school as I could.
But as I grew older, I lost my way in the art world. I never thought that art was something that I could build a sustainable life with. So I started my college education studying computer science at Colorado State University, but later changed to sociology focused on criminal justice(ya know, cause I could go to law school, right?). Nope. Everything I was trying just didn't fulfill me. I needed work that felt like it mattered in a real way. I graduated, moved to the beautiful city of San Diego, and decided to go to EMT school. While I am still currently working as an EMT, I have had this inescapable itch to create. I'm sure if you're an artist reading this, you know what I'm talking about. Nothing else feels right. So here I am, drawing nearly every day since the start of 2025. Hope you enjoy some of my work :)
